At Hydes we have a diverse selection of pubs and bars across our estate. Last month we relaunched the Mandarina Bar & Kitchen in Macclesfield and reopened the site as Alfreds Bar & Dine, following a £100k investment, and we have received some fantastic feedback from our customers and the local community over the first few weeks of trading.
The facelift at the premium bar, which has been part of our estate for over 20 years, included an interior refurb, new signage, plus a colour scheme complementing all the features and feel of a lively, contemporary, suburban bar. The new name Alfreds bar & Dine, is in recognition of Alfred Hyde who co-founded Hydes Brewery with his brother Ralph in 1863.
Louise Anderson who joined Hydes in the early 2003 before becoming the general manager at the Mandarina 7 years ago, leads the strong bar and kitchen team and has also introduced a revamped food offering.
As our only establishment in Macclesfield, Alfreds boasts a modern new look and feel which is in-keeping with the wider Hydes offering while maintaining a lot of its successful qualities. Ads a popular bar in the area, we’re confident that customers will enjoy the new look, feel and name. We really want them to experience the welcoming atmosphere of a typical Hydes pub, coupled with a contemporary twist.
